Additional Information

The premium cutlery pioneer ZWILLING J.A. Henckels has been crafting notable knives since 1731. Respected as an innovator in the industry, the company remains true to its roots: a strong commitment to quality and excellence.

ZWILLING Gourmet is the go-to knife for home chefs eager for their everyday knife to be exceptional. The single-piece, precision-stamped blade construction is lighter than forged knives, allowing for maximum maneuverability.

Proudly crafted in Germany, the knives are made of special-formula steel that has been perfected for over 285 years. Combined with ZWILLING's signature ice-hardening technique, the blades are harder, sharper, they will not stain or chip and they retain their sharpness longer.

The ergonomic, triple-riveted handle ensures fatigue-free cutting. Experience the comfort, durability, and sharpness of ZWILLING Gourmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knife for the price! I am new to cooking, so I was so happy to be able to find a knife made in Germany that was in my price range. I am so glad that this knife is lighter than some of the other knives I've used because I find it easier to use. I love the classic design and think this is a great beginner knife!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stamped instead of forged If you're looking for a stamped knife which is cut from a single sheet of metal as opposed to a heavier forged bolster (steel that's been pressed and formed into a shape) then this is a great choice for you. It is made in Germany from high quality corrosion resistant steel. It will retain it's sharp edge longer and has a full tang (the steel continues through to the end of the handle) which provides a nice weight distribution and feel in your hand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I thought Zwilling was the best in the world. I'm a pro cook, and what I got in the mail was a lightweight toy knife. The miniature sheath was also a joke. Now they're making ME pay to send it back. Talk about adding insult to injury. Nobody I know will buy a knife online again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and Flexible The Gourmet chef knife is a nice, lighter weight knife. Perfect if your hand gets tired when chopping or if you simply prefer a lighter feel. It has the look and features of the tradtional forged knife that we've all grown to know and expect, without the weight. The handle is perfectly balanced with three rivet handle. It is quality that will last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chef knife This is a great chef knife. I love to use it because it cuts so smooth, the blade is so sharp, and the full tang provides fantastic stability. It is lighter than the pro line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect This is an awesome chef knife. its not to heavy but the steel is good enough to cut like a much more expensive chefs knife. The edge stays sharp for a really long time and honing brings it right back to perfect every time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Gourmet series knife may be stamped, not forged, but it still delivers! It still goes through the ice-hardening process, so is durable, stay sharp for a long time, and has ease of use. Also is lightweight, if you prefer a slightly lighter knife. Great value on a good Chef knife!

What is the warranty on your knives  I have one that the knife inside the handle broke vertical but the handle itself isn’t broken.  Love the knife but it wiggles when being used.
