Plastic in the spout filter
We are not able to use the kettle as it does contain plastic in the spout filter construction, despite the description suggesting it is completely stainless steel on the inside. There are also small pieces of plastic filling many of the holes on the filter - a manufacturing error. It is well established that plastics are harmful to health, and that being exposed to hot water magnifies those effects.
Requests for assistance to customer service took many attempts and response was very slow. We can return it but only at our cost and will be refunded less the original shipping cost, so it is not worth it for us. We will be giving it away and won’t be purchasing from Zwilling again.

Zwilling kettle
I bought this kettle from Macy’s during Thanksgiving sales. The item arrived fast but the package was slightly deformed. Luckily there is no damage to the kettle itself. I like it’s size (1.5L) which is large enough for my family (2 adult and 1 toddler). The exterior design is sleek and modern. Interior is a seamless stainless steel container. I think it is less likely to develop rust overtime. One minor thing I don’t like is there is an opening in the interior near the top of the container. It may be intentional by design but I am worry the water may get in and wet the circuit when I clean the kettle.
All and all, the design is nice and the quality is good. I will recommend this product to others. Richard

Better than expected
This is is a very fine kitchen appliance almost in any way. I just boiled the full kettle 1.5L for the first time. It took 6min 40sec. So from practical side it is a very good kettle. Outer wall was just warm. Although original picture shows a plastic strainer it is actually made of stainless steel. Inner side of the lid is also steel. Design is practically impeccable. Machine brushed exterior looks gorgeous and it will not carry stains like regular steel. I am very pleased with this kettle. 5 years warranty.

What a kettle, it's all about greatness!
This kettle does an amazing job of quickly heating up an ample amount of water. My family loves to use it for instant noodles, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The outside stays cool to the touch despite its heated contents. I love that the lid stays open while I am refilling it and is also designed to only open such that the user can avoid direct contact with the hot steam from its contents. It has a beautiful design with a stainless steel body that is super easy to clean! It also has a cable winder for convenient storage, or even just to sit on the counter. A must-have for coffee and tea lovers!

Well Designed Kettle but sign up for warranty
I really like this kettle. I love that the interior is all stainless steel, no plastic. The design is simple and modern. It’s easy to use and clean. The only thing I would change is for the lid to open at least to 90 degrees. It would make it easier to fill using my filtered refrigerator water.
I also highly recommend purchasing from a licensed Zwilling retailer and signing up for the warranty. I have purchased two of these kettles. The first kettle was purchased on Amazon and it stopped working after about 7 months. I needed a replacement and like this kettle so much that I bought a new one however this time I purchased directly from Zwilling so that if the issue happens again, I’m covered.

Quality built, safely done the job!
Sleek looking, quality built, safe to touch electric kettle, with 5-yr warranty.
Relative low noise level, 120v 60 hz 1500w, around 7 minutes ready, efficiently boiling the water.
Water contacting part all stainless steel, the cover and filter might be coated parts, suggesting boiling around 1 Liter/8 cup level to keep steam minimum level. Do not open the lid immediately after pouring water, due to high temperature steam may hurt hand. It might be helpful for manufacturer to warn customers as well.
Overall, 5-star experience upon receiving the kettle in 1st week. I will circle back, if anything changes my view.

Sleek and Utilitarian
Kettles are simple devices that do one job: heat water for us. So in terms of the job, this Zwilling electric kettle does its job. Additional points to the generous amount of water it can heat.
However, the main point of this kettle is it’s minimalist design and ease of use. With so many kettles on the market, these two were my deciding factor when choosing a kettle. Its ease of use is seamless and I never have an issue or question how to use it. It’s minimal and sleek design let it flow with the rest of my kitchen while still being its own eye-catching piece.
It’s a great addition to my kitchen hardware and I recommend it to others!

Nice kettle could be a little more refined
I got this to replace a Breville kettle that had finally died after 8 years of daily use (I’m British and I drink a LOT of tea!) I like that it is matte black which is a nice change after the shiny brushed aluminum though I expect it will still show finger prints but maybe not so easily. It feels sturdy. The lid opens smoothly with no noise though you do have to give the button a FIRM push. When closing the lid it feels clunky and it does make a fairly loud noise. The button to turn on feels good and lights up the brand logo to show that it is on. The boil is quieter than my Breville. When the boil is done there is no bell or ring sound - just the snap of the button going back to the off position. The water pours out nicely - not too fast but not painfully slowly. The best thing about this kettle is that there is no visible heating element so cleaning it will be a breeze. There is a little round hole on the inside right at the top - I’m not sure what it’s for but I’m hoping it doesn’t fill the outer cavity with condensation and cause problems. There is not window so you cannot see from the outside how much water there is inside. This is not an issue for me but might be for some. Hopefully I will get just as long from this kettle as the Breville. Fingers crossed!

Is the heating element touching the water? Is the inner lid plastic or metal (where the condensation occurs)? Is the inner spout plastic or metal (The place that contact water when pouring). Any other plastic parts in the Kettle?

The Pro kettle has different temperatures it can heat water to. But there is no mention of what temperature does this kettle heat water to?
Six temperature settings: 104°F for baby food, 140°F, 160°F, 175°F, over 194°F for coffee, boil.
