Lid design issue from
Possibly mold issue with lid
This coffee maker is designed in such a way that water becomes stuck in the lid and there is no way to get it out. When I contacted customer support they informed me that this product was not available and that only the glass carafe was available. I guessing this is due to the design issue with the thermal carafe lid. Customer support was disappointing as they directed me to try to replace or return the item where I had purchased it. This response was only after several attempts to contact the a manager. The process of finally connecting with a manager took several attempts and back and forth phone calls.

Nearly Fabulous. Easy to Like.
GOOD:
1) Stainless Caraffe appears small but it brews as much as my old Bonivita.
2) Way it blooms and brews is great. Coffee tastes excellent. I like the stirring nozzle.
3) Pours very easily and without drips. Love it.
BAD)
1) It will shut off after some specified count for descaling (but you won't know when unless you see this tiny light and have counted to ten, even though you're not always making coffee. I NEARLY sent this back for not having an override. I don't have any descaling powder. None was shipped with it. EPIC stupid to not allow 2 or 3 additional 10 brews somehow.
2) I spent hours and a phone call to find the size Coffee Filter this took. It's a #4. Written in light gray type, small print, on a throw away card in the box. WHERE IS THE SAMPLE filter in the box? I honestly thought it came with a Stainless because the photos show it. Very deceptive and confusing. Product Manager FAIL.
3) Water Cavity marking are FAINT and NO ONE SEES THEM. Plus the resiorvor is larger than the Caraffee holds. Sharpie to the rescue. But again, STUPID to allow spill over if someone doesn't see the mark. And why?
C'Mon people. We need basics answered. Filter Size. Where to Fill to. How to Override the descale lockout when a bunch of edgy people are standing waiting for me to make coffee.
4) Timer is in 24hour only. Get ready to talk world time.
CONCLUSION. I still love the darn thing. Even with paint peeling off the caraffe already inside (after 1 month) but I don't want to send this back. It makes good Coffee Maker and I ordered the dumb powder. Ya got me.

Met my needs
Technically, the coffee maker has mature features without being over-engineered. The drip system into the thermos is quite good; the prebrew saturation works quite nicely; keeping the coffee warm post brewing is a nice method without overdoing it. It's easy to keep clean, takes up less space than I thought it would, and, if it's important to the user, it looks quite good and timeless in design. The digital control is easy, but does take a little learning initially. My drinking habits in the morning are that 8 cups of coffee are made at 6 am and drink on that until late morning. First cup is around 175º F and by 9 am it is still above 150º F or more. In fact it stays hot for at least 2 hours, I would say, then begins to cool somewhat. I usually microwave it by cup as I need to and don't find the taste degraded at all. Cleanup is easy. I used to habitually make K-cups or perhaps French press in the evening but the Zwilling is so quickly cleaned, I'll make a fresh pot of coffee in the evening. I can't say I have any complaints about it. The only thing that comes to mind is, when cleaning and lifting the drip mechanism, water remaining in the dripper runs down into where the filter basket would be and goes onto the thermos stand. A little messy.

Gold cup!!!
Great cup off coffee.
The 25 hr clock is quirky and I wish the water measurement was on the other side of the water tank.
But I bought this for a gold cup and it for sure delivered on the promise

Disappointing - Poor Design - Stains Easily
The box and advertising says the part that the water comes out of is stainless steel. Does not seems like stainless steel - seems like shiny plastic - that has to be cleaned after every use because coffee splashes up onto the part. Having stainless steel part to dispense water was a huge selling point for me, so this was disappointing. Also, I honestly thought it came with a Stainless basket for the coffee as well, because the photos show it. Water cavity markings are FAINT and very hard to read. Have to run hot water into the carafe before use so the coffee stays hot for a few hours. CANNOT use carafe for water into the maker because the water cools the inside of the carafe and makes the resulting coffee not as hot. Carafe hard to clean. Top hard to clean - I have the silver machine with white trim. The white trim - especially on the the top of the carafe - is hard to clean. Stains after each use. Can see stains inside top - but can’t get in there to clean properly. EVERY time you remove the top filter portion of the coffee maker, water drips down onto the tray. You have to slam it down 3 times to get the residual water to spill down - after every use. There are pools of water at the tops/hinge of the machine. It’s super annoying to have to clean it up after every use. The carafe seems to be aluminum inside - not sure really - but it is stained and has been since first week of use. Soap and water have to impact on stains, and I am not going to do harsh cleaners in the carafe. No matter the angle of the pour, the speed of the pour or any other trick you try, you cannot pour coffee without drips. The top lip of the carafe has an edge that has to be scrubbed after each use to get coffee stain off of the plastic. You will miss the smell of coffee brewing in the morning. Because the coffee drips into a sealed lidded carafe - you cannot smell the brew, and you will miss that. And, frankly and most important - the coffee is not any better than other machines. I kept my old machine in storage, and today after trying this machine for 3 full months; I am trashing this zwilling and going back to my cuisinart. This was a huge disappointment.

Keep-warm time is too short
The 30 minute shutoff should be adjustable, as is the case with most other high-end coffee makers. 30 minutes is too short for a full pot of coffee without the possibility of extending the warming time. Ruins an otherwise fine machine.

Great brew!
Love the coffee, dont like the beaker always making a mess! Even when pouring slowly its still drips. Im always pouring to fast! Big mess!
What about no plastics? More stamped stainless possible? It would Make it easy to recycle?
Good coffee makes up for a few issues!
I did buy it because it came up in the search no plastic!

Top value coffee maker
It makes a great tasting cup of coffee with its blooming feature and brewing process. I wish the water reservoir was removable for filling but the lid is removable, which helps. A lot of plastic parts but almost all auto-drip makers are similar. Very consistent in temperature. Thermal carafe is very good.

Hi, I'm having trouble programming the "clock" feature and timer. Seems that I cannot get the coffee pot to turn on in the morning no matter how I try to program it. Is it working properly? Thank you

The ZWILLING Enfinigy Coffee Maker does include a clock and timer function that allows you to program brewing in advance. To set it up, you’ll first want to make sure the clock is set correctly, then use the timer function to program your desired brew start time. Keep in mind that the machine must remain plugged in and turned on for the timer to activate at the scheduled time. If the unit is powered off or unplugged, the timer will not engage. If you’re still having trouble after following the steps in the user manual, your coffee maker may not be working as intended. does it come with a metal filter

It features a BPA-free filter basket designed to fit cone-shaped paper filters and is also compatible with the ZWILLING 18/10 Stainless-Steel Permanent Filter, which is sold separately, item #1022997.
If you're interested in using a reusable metal filter, you'll need to purchase the stainless-steel permanent filter separately. This accessory offers a sustainable alternative to disposable paper filters and is designed to fit seamlessly with the Enfinigy coffee maker.
