I love to use this pot for big batches of leafy greens such as kale, swiss chard and escarole. Aluminum is a great conductor of heat which makes it ideal for cookware. This non stick coating is stratch resistant and will definitely stand up to the rigors of your home cooked meals. The innovative heat sensor is a bonus- It will indicate when the pan is ready to go and ready to be cleaned. This is a durable, professional grade set of cookware made in Italy. Easy to handle and easy to clean. Love the tight fitting glass lid.. Excellent value for a quality pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GrannyJody from The Ballarini Modena 4.8 Quart Dutch Oven is the perfect size for a smaller family. Room enough for soups, stews, pasta, and not overwhelmingly large. The Granitium non stick coating is extremely effective, and does not chip off like the non stick I previously owned. Also PFO free which makes it chemical free and safe to use. The aluminum heats up quickly, and does not have hot spots, as well as being nice and light weight. Love the Thermopoint technology which allows me to know when the pan has properly preheated, and is ready to go. The technology also lets me know when the pan has cooled off enough for washing without warping. All this technology on a little indicator light located on the handle! Glad I purchased this pan, and am looking forward to adding additional pieces from this line.

Whether it's soup, stew or a big pot of pasta, this perfectly-sized dutch oven can get the job done. The granitium base construction is not only unique and attractive but it also performs superior function through even heating and extreme scratch resistance. The nonstick cooking surface impresses even more with its incredible durability and ease of use/clean up.

It releases the food well too, so very easy to clean and care for. It does a great job with heating up quickly for efficiently cooking your sauces and soups. Due to it being lightweight, it won’t get overly heavy in your hand, great for anyone who needs something light to cook with.

The non-stick coating is phenomenal; very durable, tolerant of heat, the dishwasher and metal utensils. Clean up is a breeze. The molded plastic handles are very comfortable and heat resistant. It's the perfect pan for soups, stews and roasts.

Made in Italy from light weight cold forged aluminum for quick heating, even cooking and excellent browning and searing. Coated with a durable nonstick surface that is scratch resistant and long lasting. Very modern looking with black accents and glass lids. Oven safe to 300 degrees.

It heats up quickly, evenly and sears well. The lid fits tightly so no steam or condensation escapes from the pan, saving all the flavor you have built while cooking. Oven safe up to 300F, perfect for keeping a meal warm.

Instead of constantly watching a pot on the stovetop, I put everything into the pot and let it bake. The glass lid allows a quick check on progress; the handles provide a secure grip; and (oh my!) is cleanup a breeze! Highly recommended.
