Not angry, just disappointed...This is just a plea to the people at Zwilling: please be more vigilant, consider what leaves your factories and warehouses.
This boning knife was supposed to be given directly to a friend, but it arrived in an unsuitable condition. I wish I had taken pictures before I got to work on making it usable. It was immediately obvious that the knife had not been properly sharpened or honed. The tip was completely blunt, unsharpened! And the rest of the blade's edge had a jagged burr that could be seen with the naked eye. I cannot fault the design or materials, but I expected a better product out of the box. I do not have the time to wait 4-6 weeks for a replacement. I will have to explain the situation to the recipient, who will probably wonder why the blade looks a little scratched. I confess I am not the most experienced or skilled with a whetstone, but at least it cuts now. I have had much better experiences ordering online from Zwilling in the past, I hope I can forgive them in the future.
