We Care – for sustainable consumption and a livable future
ZWILLING takes responsibility – for people, the environment, and future generations. Under the motto We Care, we bundle our sustainability activities to have a positive impact along the entire value chain: from the responsible use of resources and fair working conditions to durable products that promote conscious consumption. For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a promise – to a future that remains worth living.
Current Highlights
With the new ZWILLING SPECTRUM premium knife, we are setting standards in sustainable product design: it is forged from low-emission Green Circle steel, which has a 50% lower carbon footprint than conventional blade steel.
STAUB has redesigned the packaging for its popular cocottes to make it even more environmentally friendly. Instead of coloured cardboard, it now uses uncoloured, uncoated cardboard made from up to 80% recycled paper, which is fully recyclable.
All ZWILLING knife blocks newly launched on the German market are already made from FSC® certified wood. Our goal: By 2030, we want to carry only wood-based items with the FSC® seal in our range.
Participating in the CDP (formerly: Carbon Disclosure Project) for the first time is an important step for ZWILLING in systematically recording and making climate data available – and basing dialogue with business partners on reliable figures.

“Cooking brings people together around the world. For almost 300 years, ZWILLING has shaped this tradition with long-lasting quality products that enhance culinary experiences. From this heritage, we draw our commitment to creating meaningful value – economically, socially, and environmentally. With our We Care sustainability strategy, we embed this promise into our value chain. We champion fair working conditions and environmental standards across our supply chain, and we actively cut greenhouse gas emissions in our production. We are reducing the CO₂ footprint of our products and are dedicated to making all packaging resource-efficient and recyclable. In doing so, we help shape a future worth living – where conscious choices and the joy of cooking go hand in hand.”
