Occupational health management

ZWILLING offers a wide range of health promotion measures at its locations worldwide, including preventive medical checkups, eye tests, first aid courses, and vaccinations.

In recent years, we have systematically expanded our health promotion offerings and initially established a comprehensive occupational health management program at our Solingen location. The focus is on the areas of exercise, nutrition, stress management, and addiction prevention. We have developed special programs for this purpose, ranging from nutritional counselling to cooking and yoga classes to online smoking cessation programs.

Exemplary safety: ZWILLING Shanghai receives fire safety rating

Preventive fire protection at ZWILLING in China: The production and logistics site in Shanghai's Minhang district has been awarded "Advanced Member 2024" status by the Shanghai Fire Department. The department recognizes companies that meet high standards in preventive fire protection – only 23 companies citywide were included in this category this year, one per administrative district. Particularly noteworthy: only five of the companies honoured belong to the manufacturing industry, with the majority coming from the public sector.

For ZWILLING, the award is the result of many years of investment in safety, infrastructure, and training. According to the relevant authorities, the site impressed with its technically flawless fire protection facilities, among other things. In all inspections carried out in recent years, the facilities – including the fire pump station, sprinkler system, smoke detectors, and control center – were consistently rated as above average. In addition, the inspectors certified that the company has a high level of expertise in dealing with legal requirements. The commitment of the management and the good cooperation with the local authorities were also highlighted. The award confirms ZWILLING China's commitment to creating a safe and healthy working environment for its employees.

ZWILLING India opens company-owned daycare center

An important step toward improving work-life balance: since spring 2025, employees at the production site in Swarnabhoomi, South India, have been able to use a company daycare center. In the past, well-trained, committed female employees often did not return to work after getting married or having a child – mainly because of a lack of childcare options. This is exactly where the new daycare center comes in.

Care is provided by qualified staff recruited through a local hospital with which ZWILLING India has a partnership. In addition, a nurse is available at all times in the factory's medical department to provide support when needed.

With this program, ZWILLING India is creating new opportunities for women—and setting an example of active responsibility in an environment where family-friendly policies are not a given.

Health promotion and local volunteering in Pleasantville

The health and well-being of employees is also a high priority at the ZWILLING logistics site in Pleasantville, New York. More than 180 employees took part in a wellness event in the summer of 2024 – a strong signal for health promotion in the workplace. Exercise, exchange, and prevention were the focus of the campaign.

Social engagement is also part of the corporate culture at the US location: among other things, ZWILLING employees collected a donation of $15,000 for the local organization Feeding Westchester in 2024. The non-profit organization is committed to improving food supplies for people in need in the region.
