Chicken with broccoli and rice Crispy broccoli meets juicy Asian chicken! This quick, healthy and delicious meal makes for the perfect lunch.

  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 450 g chicken breast
  • 400 g broccoli florets
  • Salt
  • 150 g basmati rice
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • Pepper


    Step 1/4

    In a bowl whisk the sambal oelek, soya sauce, ginger, and cornflour until smooth. Wash the chicken breast, pat dry, and cut into strips. Mix with the marinade, place in a suitable FRESH & SAVE vacuum box, and marinate vacuum-sealed in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes.

    In the meantime, boil the broccoli florets in a saucepan in plenty of boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes until al dente and rinse immediately in ice-cold water. Drain well.

    Prepare the basmati rice according to the package instructions and distribute it into three FRESH & SAVE vacuum boxes.

    Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add the honey and as soon as the honey begins to foam, add the marinated chicken strips, and continue to fry for 3-4 minutes. Deglaze with vegetable stock and add broccoli florets. Bring to the boil, stir well, and season with salt and pepper. Add to the rice in the vacuum boxes and allow to cool completely. Then vacuum and refrigerate until enjoyed.


    Instead of sesame oil, peanut or other vegetable oil is also suitable..
