Demeyere warranty information
Demeyere products are manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards. You will enjoy our products for many years with normal use and a minimum of maintenance. Starting on the day you purchase our product, we provide a manufacturer’s warranty against fabrication and material defects.
We strongly recommend that you wash our products by hand. This is because dishwasher detergents are increasingly more astringent and can corrode parts of the cookware. We especially recommend washing by hand for products with a non-stick coating. It will significantly extend the life of the product and prevent discolouration.
Wear and discolouration due to cleaning in a dishwasher are not covered by this warranty.
The warranty does not cover the consequences of normal wear, overheating, or other improper use, such as:
- Deformation or burns due to overheating on a stove or open flame (e.g. BBQ, charcoal grill, etc.).
- Small burn marks or deformation due to an induction zone that is too small, or by improperly placing the product on the induction stove. Read the manual for your stove for information about induction and/or cooking zones.
- Heavy mechanical pressure causing welding points to break, e.g. due to using the pan as a meat tenderiser.
- Burning of the non-stick coating due to use under a grill, gas burner, by flambéing, or overheating (at temperatures above 230 °C).
- Damage to the non-stick coating due to the use of sharp objects (e.g. spatulas, forks, tongs, etc.) or cleaning with an abrasive utensil (e.g. steel scouring pad, brush, etc.).
Discolouration, the formation of limescale or other deposits, and scratches on the inside or outside of the stainless steel are also not deemed manufacturing defects.
Replacement parts, such as rubber sealing rings, Bakelite parts, glazed lids, and so on, are not covered by the warranty, but may be replaced as long as stocks last. However, this service is not free. For more information, please visit the shop where you purchased the product.
Consumer warranty period
If you use our products for household purposes, your warranty is valid for the periods listed below. The product’s warranty period is also listed on the packaging.
- 5-year warranty on any Demeyere product with a non-stick coating.
- 10-year warranty on Demeyere products without a non-stick coating in series of the 3 segment (e.g. Classic 3, Resto 3, etc.).
- 30-year warranty on Demeyere products without a non-stick coating in other series (e.g. Industry 5, Atlantis 7, ControlInduc X, etc.).
Professional warranty period
If you use our products for professional purposes, your warranty is valid for the periods listed below. The product’s warranty period is also listed on the packaging.
- No warranty on any Demeyere product with a non-stick coating.
- No warranty on Demeyere products without a non-stick coating in series of the 3 segment (e.g. Classic 3, Resto 3, etc.).
- 10-year warranty on Demeyere products without a non-stick coating in other series (e.g. Industry 5, Atlantis 7, ControlInduc X, etc.).
Submitting a warranty claim
If, despite all good care, you experience a problem covered by the warranty, you can return the product with the proof of purchase to the shop where you purchased the product or contact our customer service.
