This is a handy-dandy size of knife, excellent kitchen helper paring and peeling knife for small food such as fruits, and vegetables. The perfect partner in the kitchen, excellent in prepping food and tools in poking meat and poultry for filling purposes, this knife has many purpose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT made in Germany anymore I have an older set of these knives made in Germany, the difference in quality is too great. These are made in Spain now - plastic handle is lighter and shorter, the blade is thiner and too flexible, so the balance is lost. They are still very sharp, but handling is not safe anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight. Does all the little tasks A 3.5-inch paring knife in my book is an ideal length. Great for coring, peeling, fine slicing. This inexpensive knife has a lot of German quality built in, so you may find that it becomes ne of your favorites. It is light with a plastic handle. Easy to pack in the snack bag, the picnic basket or the camping gear. Comes in great, fun easy-to-find-in-all-the-mess colors.

I also sent each of my three kids off to college with one of these for their starter kitchens. They are great to throw in the picnic basket or in your RV or boat as well.

We purchased our first set many years ago and loved them, We really enjoy using them as they are very light and sharp. We highly recommend them to other customers.

While it’s size and grip are fantastic I would have to say it’s low price and it’s ability to be washed in the dish washer. I would definitely recommend it and it’s my new go to gift.

Is this dishwasher safe or would it be better to handwash?

These knives are dishwasher-safe. However, we always recommend hand washing all of our products to maintain their beauty. High heat and harsh chemicals in dish detergents can shorten the lifespan of some items.
