Versatile Saute Pan, Beautiful Stainless Pot!
This 5qt. is perfect sauteing pan, cooking sauces, even great for deep frying, broiling and browning. Stainless steel pots possesses equal heat retention and distribution.
It is a lifetime investment, has comfortable handles that allow for easy maneuvering and roomy stay cool handle. I've had variety of stainless steel pans, Spirit is one of my favorite pots and pans, they are durable.
This 3-ply stainless steel pot is lightweight, flat bottom stays flat and will not warp. Compatible with gas, induction, ceran, halogen, and electric cooktops and oven safe up to 500F degree. Washing and cleaning is a breeze. Safe to use with metal utensils and dishwasher safe.

This is a great pan for classic simmering, braising, pan frying. A one pot meal is a cinch in this 5-qt pan. it easily cooks for 4-8 people. It's well made and so versatile. It heats quickly, holds the heat and cooks evenly. It can take high heat for stir-frying and searing, or low heat for braising and simmering. It has 3 layers of clad metal - a thick interior layer of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of 18/10 steel.
Because it cooks so evenly - no burn spots and clean-up is easy. It is dishwasher safe, but if you can, hand wash. It will look like new for years and years and years to come.

Good Saute Pan - Performs as expected
Contrary to the previous review. This saute pan functions well. It is not sold as a nonstick pan. It is sold as a 3 ply/clad stainless pan. As expected, I have to use oil or butter to saute meats and vegetables. It has nice even heat distribution and when I deglaze the pan I have a nice sauce which, you don't usually get with a nonstick pan because you don't get any of the tasty bits stuck to the bottom of the pan to scrape up while deglazing.

Great saute pan
This is a great stainless steel saute pan. I really love the handle on this saute pan, the long handle stays cool to touch and I love using it as a spoon rest for my spatulas and turners. The 5 qt. Saute pan can hold a lot of food, perfect for families and dinner parties. I love how you can take it from the stove top to the oven. It is really well made, it doesn't warp and really retains the heat well. I also like that it’s a polished stainless steel, and not mirrored, it looks more premium that way. This is a great stainless steel fry pan, I’m really impressed with the Spirit collection.

Warped in the first week of use
Warped in the first week with everything properly following cooking instruction.
Continued to use for 8 months and it's getting very hard. Warranty requires shipment to manufacturer for inspection first and they will decide to replace or not. Not worth the shipment cost.
Simply avoid this product.

I can't wait to own a whole set!
We strolled into a cookware store downtown where I live..It was like Christmas walking into that store. I cook every single day, and I dream of filling my kitchen with it all. Walked past the zwilling pots and pans and I picked it up..I thought to myself that I would use this every day..and kind of brushed it off, didn't plan on actually buying it..but, I did! And it's probably the best purchase I've made in months. It heats so evenly, and it's such a nice size. Has a permenant residence on my large burner. I'm going to go back for the frying pan soon, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Zwilling Spirit 5-qt Stainless Steel Saute Pan
The saute pan is truly wonderfull to cook with. Our family was gifted with a Zwilling set of stainless steel pots over 10 years ago and they are still performing as the day we bought them. We are looking forward to this saute pan fitting right in as a permante fixture in our kitchen.

Hi Yes, the tempered glass Lid comes with the Pan for easy monitoring of cooking and is oven safe up to 400°F, the pan is oven safe up to 500°F. We hope this helps!
