Description

The Classic waiter's knife features a compact design with 3-in-1 function: Corkscrew, foil cutter and bottle cap opener. The handle is constructed of timelessly beautiful Micarta a combination of linen and resin which has the appearance of a black wood grained finish. The corkscrew spindle is hardened and forged for long lasting sharpness with a high quality non stick coating for ease of cork insertion. The two step lifter system includes a flexible hinge and opens even the most difficult corked wine bottle easily and quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heirloom quality, precision corkscrew I have been enjoying the use of my Zwilling corkscrew now for several months. It's precision and quality make its use one of life's small pleasures. It has nice weight and balance. The hinges all work smoothly. The foil cutter blade works well and the double hinged puller mechanism ensures that it works well with all types of bottles and corks. I have only one small suggestion for improvement: the coating on the corkscrew itself is intended to allow it to penetrate easily into corks. However, in my experience smoother penetration is achieved with simple, uncoated corkscrews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Splurge a little Don't waste your time and money on the cheap corkscrews available at your liquor store. For a very affordable price you can get this awesome corkscrew that cuts the foil and pulls the cork with the greatest of ease. The screw is forged so it will be sharp and long lasting. The handle is made of a beautiful material that looks like wood but can withstand moisture. I love that it's compact enough to go into my luggage when I'm traveling!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This waiters corkscrew is a gadget every house should have, because you never know when you are gonna need a corkscrew or bottle opener. This corkscrew is extremely easy to use when taking corks out. The foil cutter is way sharper than it looks, so be careful! The bottle opener has been a lifesaver when we needed to open bottles and had misplaced our bottle opener. This would definitely make a great gift, or even stocking stuffers!

From the people who know how to mold and forge steel into a strong and sturdy kitchen tool this Zwilling corkscrew feels sturdy and professional. The beautiful handle is made from Micarta which is the same material used on high end knives...it has a wood look but with none of the downfalls like swelling or cracking.

He loves it and is so proud to show off to his friends when hoe goes to open a nice bottle. Im impressed that he learned to use it but he claims it was so much better than his old one and so easy to figure out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect corkscrew This is the perfectly designed corkscrew. The blade is sharp to cut foil easily. The coating on the screw itself allows for smooth insertion. I like that it has a two stage lever to open so there is no yanking on the cork. It also has a bottle top opener on the backside of the lever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was given this as a gift and I love it. It is so well constructed you do not have to worry about it falling apart miduse, as so many do. I love the micarta handle it looks like a beautiful wood grain, but added benifit it is moisture resisant (for all those spills).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will admit this corkscrew took me awhile to get used to. There are two different levels of the pull that really make this easier to use than the rabbit or twist cork screws. I use this all the time now and really like the way it takes out those fake corks.

I was given this wine opener as a gift a few years back. It has pulled a lot of corks, however last night, the corkscrew metal broke right where the coil begins coming off the handle. Does this corkscrew have any warranty against a break like this?

Can you please tell me if this product is made in Germany? (product number 39500-053). I was under the impression that it was made in Germany but on the box it says made in China. Can you please clarify?
