That King Salmon from Alaska or Coho from the Northwest will slice up beautifully with this long 12" slicer. The Pro S line is ice-hardened, so you know you are getting a sharp and stay-sharp knife with durability. It will not rust or chip and has a straight full bolster for the best grip and comfort for slicing up that whole fish! A specialty knife that you will be glad you have!

With its length and flexibility, slicing and filleting is effortless!!! It is versatile! This knife is also great for cutting and slicing oversize cake, and brisket. This knife is for a professional or cooks who enjoy having just the right tool for a task or a recipe. The super sharp blade, which is easy to maintain and sharpen because of the quality of the steel, has the hollow grooves which allow it to slide right through the fish without unnecessary drag. The length ensures that you slice cleaning and completely with on stroke.

The Pro “S” blades are forged and ice hardened, making them very sharp and durable, so this is a great thin blade to get the most minimal cuts but also long cuts of a salmon filet. What a difference this knife makes when fileting large fish and meats, a great knife for butchers, fish markets and of course anyone who loves salmon like I do!

This and the our fishbone tweezers are all you need to get the job done. This makes a great gift as well and you could pair with the fishbone tweezers for a super Father's Day gift!

Thin blade slices with one stroke leaving a smooth precise cut. Made from premium German steel that is ice hardened for better edge retention and corrosion resistance.

It's made from German Special Formula Steel, ice hardened and forged which translates to one flexible, strong, blade as well as an extremely sharp blade. The extra length in the blade adds to beautiful slices.

Will this knife work to slice watermelon? I like to cut the melon in half, and then slice 1 inch squares that makes long "sticks" that have the rind at the end. I am looking for something like a Henckels 30041-310. (There is a guy selling for $700)

This knife is ideal for very finely slicing meats or soft items like cakes. Slicing and carving knives are made intentionally thinner and more flexible for gentler tasks. You would need a stronger knife to cut through the thick rind of a watermelon. While we no longer make the 12" chef, we do make 10" chef's knives in several different styles.
