The unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster are the result of 280 years of experience in knife making, and the rigorous study of how knives are used. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. The Chef's Knife blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of Western cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip. Designed in Italy by Matteo Thun and made in Germany by ZWILLING J.A. Great Pro set
This is the perfect set. The Pro knives are made exceptionally well, having a unique bolster so you can really grip your knives with comfort and confidence. The sigmaforged and ice hardened high carbon stainless steel is really durable, which means these knives will last for a long time and retain their sharpness, while not rusting. This set literally has the most essential blades, so you’ll never go without having the right knife in your kitchen. With this set, you get a magnetic easel block, a very convenient and modern way of storing your knives effectively and safely.

Good Price
I got one of these sets as a gift for a family member, an excellent chef, soon to be 11. It was perfect, a gift she enjoy her whole life long! Then I purchased a second set for me. The blades were all perfect, but the handles had some minor scratches, scuffs, and even nicks. I think I will just be happy with these. From another company, I got some that were really bad, that I returned. Thought that buying direct from Zwilling, I might have better luck and I did on the first set. It is either poor quality control or, I suspect damage in shipping. All the knives of a set, are placed in one box, yes with shields and foam, but maybe not enough. Is less expensive too buy a set, but unlikely to have this problem, when purchasing individually boxed items.

Beautiful Set of Knives
Give me a chef knife and a bread knife and I'm a happy girl! Make them Pro knives with the comfortable grip, perfect weight and balance, amazing sharpness and I'm ecstatic. The bonus of a parer and prep knife all displayed on this beautiful easel makes this a homerun. The are so easy to use, I feel like a chef!

The magnetic easel is such a unique and beautiful way to showcase your knives and leave them perfectly accessible for easy use. The magnet is super strong so no worries about slipping it will hold your knives securely in place. The Pro series knives are my absolute favorite knives. The minute you put one in your hand you feel the perfect weight and balance and when you start cutting you will be amazed at the sharpness of the blade. Made from specially formulated steel these knives will retain their razor sharp edge use after use and are corrosion resistant. The curved bolster provides a spot for the most comfortable pinch grip for your thumb and forefinger. This set includes four of the most useful knives in a kitchen including a serrated knife, shears and a honing steel.

Best of the best knives presented in a modern, clean and safe manner. These new magnetic easels are not only beatiful on the kitchen counter they make accessing the knives easier. The Pro line of knives are made from premium German steel, ice-hardened for longer edge retention and corrosion resistance.
The curved bolster really sets these knives apart from the competition. It makes the knife feel very comfortable in the hand when using the proper pinch grip and reduces wrist fatigue.

This is a good set for getting started. It has the 'important' knives - chef's, paring, prep and bread. You can do just about anything with that group. The easel is a a great way to organize knives. More versatile than a magnetic bar - no mounting, move it any where you want - and the bamboo makes a nice statement.
The set is from the Pro line, one of Zwilling's best. Pro line knives feature the most innovative design thinking and are manufactured with the latest technology in the industry. They each have a fully integrated angled bolster that is easy to pinch grip, keeping the thumb and forefinger in the correct position for maximum control. The full tang of the blade is riveted in three places to the contoured composite handle for comfort and security.
I wish the easel was a bit bigger so there is more room to grow. Other than that, this is a great set! Take care of them; they will last a life time.

The best!
These knives not only perform amazing but look amazing! I have the bamboo easel to show them off! They are the perfect weight, especially the chefs knife, and cut meats, vegetables, fruits, with ease. They are high quality knives. You truly get what you pay for with these. I can’t wait to use them for many, many years to come!
