With the Four Star knife, you get a durable and sharp knife, thanks to the patented process of Zwilling’s forging and ice hardening processes, making the Special Formula stainless steel the most optimal German steel to use for a knife, so that way you can enjoy your Four Star trimming knife for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried and true This is an excellent knife for trimming meats and poultry. It you have to remove silver skin or extra fat, this will work really well. It is flexible yet sturdy to maneuver around bone. It is sharp and well balanced for a small knife. The handle is smooth and comfortable. This is a knife for working off your cutting board. Good peeler! I like to use it for slicing and shaping potatoes.

Used for coring and small paring this is also a great tool for trimming meat from bone, creating pockets and decorative work such as garnishing. The molded handle feels secure and fits nicely into the hand. The balance is great and the edge stays sharp due to the ice-hardening process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy tool This little knife is surprisingly handy. So often you small tasks - core a strawberry, carve out the eye of a potato, cleaning beans. I reach for it and my bird's beak paring knife more than any other small knives - also great for carving fruit and vegetable garnishes. The Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. These knives have all the features of world class knives, because they are - world class knives. Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

The slim profile allows for easy accurate peeling and trimming with little waste. The handle material combined with the full bolster gives me a comfortable confident grip when working in hand.
