Description
This all-purpose Japanese-style knife chops, slices, dices, and minces. The blade features small indentations, called grantons, to prevent food from sticking.
The updated design of the German-made Five Star series incorporates a unique handle crafted to fit in the contours of your hand, creating a masterpiece of safety, ergonomics, and comfort. Each Five Star knife is forged from a single piece of high carbon stainless steel resulting in a sturdy, balanced blade. The ice hardened FRIODUR® blade is hand sharpened and polished to 15° on each side for precision cuts with every use.

Like cutting butter
I received the 7” Santorum knife last week and just got the chance to use it. I had a pound of frozen roll sausage I wanted to cook in a hurry. I took the sausage from the freezer and thought why not use my new knife to slice it. To my amazement I didn’t even have to apply much pressure for the knife to slice right thru each ring of sausage. Slice the whole pound in just a few minutes. I will use it more often now that I see how great it works. I am looking for reasons to use my new knives. I love all my zwilling knives❤️ they fit so well in my hand.

Cut through anything!
I love these things, especially the weight. This is the first time I spent I decided to spend "Adult" money on a knife set. I really do not know why I waited so long, they are sharp, durable, and I absolutely LOVE the weight of the knife hilt. The hilt is incredibly comfortable and helps make chopping things easier. If you only get the set the block will have 2 extra slots left over for you to buy any knives you may need. My wife loved this brand so much she ended up purchasing the 10 inch chef knife of this line and it fit the block no probl3m. Well worth the investment!
My only small complaint is that the knife sharpener doesn't slot into the block. It has a sort of open pocket that it leans against the block in. Not a big deal, just be careful when moving it.

Slice and dice with ease
A santoku is an amazing knife to chop vegetables with. It has a razor sharp edge that will help make the finest slices and dices. The hollow edge helps keep starchy foods from sticking the the blade.
It’s forged from high carbon, German steel which guarantees amazing edge retention and a knife that will last a lifetime.
The molded handle is durable, slip resistant and a little lighter in the hand than the tradition three rivet knives, without sacrificing quality.

nice santoku knife
A great Japanese style knife made with durable ice hardened forged stainless steel. This is a great knife for chopping and dicing. The lightweightness of this blade makes it comfortable and easy to use, alleviating any heaviness while using the Santoku. The handle is long and has a nice shape to it, giving extra space to grip your santoku with ease and comfort. A great alternative blade to use if you want a larger size blade, but something different than a Chef.

Exceptional Japanese style Santoku knive with hollows on the edge to assist in releasing food from the blade easier. Forged from premium German stainless steel that has been ice hardened for corrosion resistance and exceptional edge retention. Each knife is sharpened and honed by hand. Well balanced with an ergonomic molded handle, light weight, full tang and bolster and an acute angle on the edge all together provide you with an incredible cutting experience.

great for accurate prep
I am a big fan of this line. The forged German stainless steel is so sharp. It stays sharp for a very long time and is easy to maintain. All signs of high quality cutlery. The ergonomic handle is very comfortable to hold at any angle. The handle material texture gives me a strong confident grip when cutting. The Japanese blade design allows for accurate slicing and chopping and combined with a slim blade profile and angle it makes for very little waste.

Nice and sharp!!
I totally LOVE my Zwilling J A Henckles 7” Santoku knife. I have a Santoku knife but not this brand, and I didn’t know what I was missing until I used my new one. It slices so thin and without effort. Of course the fact that was super sharp did help make the difference, I bought this knife to complete the 5 piece Zwilling J A Henckles set I bought last week and I’m totally glad I did.

Perfect for vegetable prep. This blade has been ice hardened so it start sharp and stays sharper for a longer period. It is flexible and corrosion resistant. The knife has hollow edges to help move food away from the blade as you chop, making your job more efficient. Handle is comfortable and easy to hold even through those marathon prep jobs.
