Description
Like all STAUB Cocottes, the High Cocotte is made of enamelled cast iron, combining the advantages of cast-iron cookware with the benefits of high-quality enamel glaze: They are extremely durable and offer very even heat distribution. The special structure of the lid makes sure moisture is dropped back on the food for best results. The High Cocotte is 3 cm higher than the classic Cocotte, resulting in an added volume of 1 litre. This means you can cook larger quantities on a small burner, making sure all the surface of your Cocotte has contact with the hob for optimum energy efficiency. The slim form makes it easier to store in an average-size kitchen cupboard or fridge. With its added height, this Cocotte is especially well suited for deep-frying or searing food, protecting the cook and the kitchen from splattering hot oil. I use this 4qt round cocotte mostly for baking artisan bread. With the heat tolerance and even cooking this makes a fabulous loaf of bread. It's also great for smaller portions of stews and chili as well. Staub cast iron is surrounded by 3 layers on enamel on the interior and 3 layers of a beautiful glaze on the exterior. No need to season these pots and they can even go in the dishwasher if necessary. Interior is slightly textured for a perfect brown or sear and easy release. The lids have continuous basting beads for a consistently moist environment during cooking. No wonder restaurants prefer to cook in Staub. This pot will not disappoint.

Amazing amazing product
Amazing amazing product. I have a handful of products from Staub and this one along with the grill pan i have from them is probably my favorite. The quality is lightyears ahead of the other well known French company which makes similar products. I own probably half a dozen products from each brand, and will only buy Staub moving forward. These products are built to last and the competing brands are not. In addition to this the food cooked in my Staub Cocotte tastes so much better than when I used my traditional aluminium cookware. Not to mention it also looks BEAUTIFUL!

Perfect product
I use this product for about 8 months now, it is great. I used it for cooking meat, vegetables, and seafood. It heats quite fast and this saves my time and it is healthier, especially when cooking vegetables. After I got this pot, I already gave up all other pots in my home. And my friends bought the same products after they ate the dishes cooked by this pot. But I have problems with washing the bottom of the pot, it was hard to remove the burnt caused by the oven. If there will be more discounts in the future, I will buy another Staub pot for fried dishes. The pot is much better than the Zwilling knives, one of my knife rusted after one-year usage, really disappointed.

Perfect size
This four quart pot is perfect for small- medium family meals. Geat for every day soups, stews, braising and baking. This pot is everything you would expect from a Staub cast iron. Exceptional craftsmanship and quality. The innovative black matte interior provides remarkable heat distribution and retention. Will also release foods easily. This pot will stay a consistent temperature throughout the cooking time. The creative dimpled interior of the lid will ensure a continuous flow of moisture during the cooking process. The 4 quart round is ideal for small roasts, soup or making a loaf of bread. This beautiful French blue is pretty enough to leave on your stovetop all of the time. It's incredible quality Staub cast iron that heats evenly, browns perfectly and releases almost as well as non-stick cookware. It's enameled on the inside so no seasoning is required, plus it's metal utensil safe. The lid has self basting dimples that create a rain forest of flavor over your food. Oven safe up to 500 degrees, plus it's induction compatible.

Beautiful color & great product
The ice blue color round Cocotte is so cute and a great investment to my kitchen. After the first use I’m totally impressed with its performance. Foods are not just tasted great, but stay juicy and tender. Excellent for any stew. Cleaning is also easy. A bit bar keeper friends will make it new again. It’s my favorite now and I recommend it to anyone who loves cooking.

Perfect size for medium size meals and baking no knead bread. The textured black matte enamel interior ensures exceptional browning / searing; cast iron has incredible heat retention and distribution. No pan seasoning needed so easy to care for. The cocotte can with stand temperatures up to 500F and can be used on any cooking surface, even your BBQ.

Great Staub pot
Staub is amazing. The cast iron body heats up evenly. The black textured interior browns and caramelizes beautifully. The under side of the lids have self basting spikes which circulate the moisture to keep food full of moisture and flavor. The beautiful colors and the heat retention make a perfect presentation on the table.
