Classically French
I don't make terrines often, but depending on the recipe i sometimes need ceramic rather than cast iron. This one is terrific. It's glossy finish keeps the terrine looking beautiful even after baking. It bakes evenly and consistently - no burnt spots. plus this one comes with a cover which doubles as a serving plate when I need to turn it out for presentation. And although it seems like an extravagance to have a dish dedicated tor terrines and pate, i have also used it to bake quick breads, microwave corn on the cob, so its earning its space in my kitchen.

The perfect loaf pan
My favorite part about all of my Staub ceramics is how confident I can be in their durability and thermo shock resistance. This loaf pan is so superior to glass because ceramic provides a better and more even heat without hot spots. The lid is so "green" because I can keep things in this pan without needing plastic wrap or foil. i also make and serve my meatloaf from this pretty dish...it goes great from oven to table.

I have not used this as a covered pate / terrine mold but I have used it to make all kinds of breads including banana, wheat and cranberry. I love that there is a top so I don't have to use plastic wrap. The pan goes from the freezer to the oven, up to 572F with no thermal shock problems. It also goes in the microwave and is dishwasher safe.

The original design of the dish was for pressed meats and molded food but it has so many other uses. I use it for quick and yeast breads, pasta dishes, layered veggie dishes and dips. Is pretty enough to serve from but stable enough to tolerate high heat. Can even safely go into the freezer for ice creams and sorbets.

This bright cherry terrine mold is the ideal baking dish, even for banana bread! The cover acts not only as a lid to keep food warm and fresh but can also be used as a trivet to protect your countertop/table. The interior ceramic easily releases food making clean up easy and keeping the off-white color spotless.

Unique pan with lots of uses
This is a great covered pan for pate, jelly dishes, cranberry sauce, frozen treats, etc.. With it being ceramic, it is very versatile, so it can go from oven to table to fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Since it comes with a lid, it’s easy for saving leftovers or storing food in the fridge.

Tiered Terrines
We use this terrine for making luscious tiered desserts. Kids choose their favorite ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt and layer with cake, cookies, candy pieces, or fruit. Mold goes in freezer, and at serving time we simple invert and slice. Easy clean up in the dishwasher.
