Description

This nesting set features 2 rectangular dishes measuring 6-inch x 7.5-inch and 7.5-inch x 10.5-inch. They are perfect for lasagna, casseroles, and desserts, as well as roasted meats and vegetables. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pans! These two pans are just the right size for 2 people. The larger holds 2 or 3 chicken breasts and the smaller is great for 2 or 3 baked potatoes or one whole acorn squash, split in two. These are smaller in size which is exactly what I was looking for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good medium sized bakers These bake up gently and clean up easily. Those are the signs of good quality ceramicware. I never really understood the difference until I talked with potters in Canada. They explained how the quality of clay as well as the way a piece is made make all the difference. I appreciate these bakers more now that I understand that. Two good sizes if you don't want to eat leftovers for days. These are a rich French blue. Great to bring to the table.

It is so much nice to serve anything, whether it's a side or main dish. They can go in the freezer, frig and to the oven. It makes for some quick dinners when you're on the go. I've had mine for a few years and they have not stained, craized or cracked. Although I wash mine by hand most of the time, they are dishwasher safe.

The pieces go from the freezer to the oven, up to 572F with no thermal shock problems. They also can be used in the microwave and are dishwasher safe. The ceramic will not absorb moisture, heats and retains heat exceptionally. I love that they nest in each other , a huge space saving detail.

When I went to wash it, I found a large crack running through it. (I have now noticed several reviews on other sites mentioning similar experiences - so BEWARE)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a vegetarian in the family I just love these rustic white baking dishes, and they are so easy clean up too. it's nice to have two sizes, since we have a vegetarian in the house. I can make my Chicken and broccoli casserole alongside my vegetarian broccoli casserole. I prepare everything, put the small one together then add the meat and assemble the larger one! They match on the table and the size difference makes it easy to tell them apart. Win, win!

The bakers go from the freezer to the oven, up to 572F with no thermal shock problems. They are also microwave and dishwasher safe. She loved that the two pieces nested in each other, a great space saving detail.

They love to make casseroles and desserts and love how well the ceramic cooks everything so evenly. They love the matte white color of these pieces, a nice twist to regular white ceramics. A great neutral color for any colorful dish. They love how versatile the pieces are and how they can go in the oven to fridge to dishwasher, a super convenient piece to have in a kitchen.

Are the ceramic roasters tempered to resist thermal shock?

Our ceramic is not thermal shock-resistant. We do not recommend subjecting the ceramic to abrupt temperature changes as it will cause cracking and breaking.

Are the dimensions given for the interior part of these dishes? If so, what are the exterior measurements? I have a compact oven and so the fit is an issue for me. Thanks.

The measurements given are the dimensions of the dishes, excluding handles. Handles add on 2-3" in total to the length of the pans, but do not impact width or depth.
