Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glass lid arrived to me broken I received the product with the glass lid shattered. This was around the holiday time so I expect this happened during shipping with the post office. I called Zwilling and they offered to send me a replacement lid. I haven't used the product yet, but I will give the star rating based on the customer service experience (4-stars). I will update this review or write a new review after I have used the product. From a design perspective, I don't like how the handles don't match the other Staub products (e.g. the coquettes) which are more squarish, rather than round. Also, the other "domed" lid matches the design of the cocottes better and is available as a separate purchase. The regular lid that comes with this pan looks a bit thinner than the domed lid which looks to be more heavy duty. Staub's marketing team should keep the look and feel of the Staub line consistent, especially since many customers may be looking to build a set of various pieces. Because of this design inconstancy I dropped the star rating to a 3. However, the quality seems good and with the 12" size, that gives more pan coverage to cook things like burgers which i look forward to trying when I have the chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grilled and steamer I cook on this grilled/steamer everyday. It's takes about15 minutes to cook fish, vegetables on the gas setting, simmer. It's makes whatever cooking moist and tender. Its steams and grills at the same time, unusual! Easy to clean, not heavy as the usual cast iron, I even take it with when we travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill Pan! I use this all the time for bacon, but brown some pork chops, add a bit of liquid and cover fast to steam finish...perfection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product I've had this product for a few months. Quality is very good. I would use more if I would have selected a smaller size.

From day one after use I find the cleanup on mine very difficult.  The food does not release after dishwasher , soaking, even boiling on the stove.  I find myself washing 2 or 3 times before I can use again. Is that normal?

Asked by: tina62
It can be a little difficult to remove burnt or stuck on food from a cast iron vessel, but we think it's absolutely worth it. The end result speaks for itself. Here are some helpful tips to help make cast iron clean up a breeze- *Clean the skillet immediately after use, while it is still hot or warm. Don't soak the pan or leave it in the sink because it may rust. *Add hot water and wash the skillet by hand using hot water and a sponge or stiff brush, a cast iron brush is recommended. *Avoid using the dishwasher, soap, or steel wool, as these may strip the pan's seasoning. *Scrub off stuck-on bits: To remove stuck-on food, scrub the pan with a paste of a coarse kosher salt and water. Then rinse or wipe with a paper towel. Stubborn food residue may also be loosened by boiling water in the pan. * VERY IMPORTANT- Dry the skillet: Thoroughly towel dry the skillet or dry it on the stove over low heat. *A small amount of mild soap may be used without doing damage — just be sure to rinse it well and oil it after drying. The lid to my Staub Cast Iron 12" Round Steam Grill Grenadine was damaged and made unusable. How would I go about getting a new lid only as the grill itself is fine.

Asked by: Jerry62
The 12' lid is on-sale on their web-site for $39 and is sold separately 04/01/2018

Is the pan similar to the grill pan?  How is the steam pan different than a grill pan other than having a life?

Asked by: Chef Mickie
The Steam Grill is simply a round grill pan with a lid. The lid allows for hybrid cooking, so you can grill and steam in one dish. This is perfect for lots of vegetables, and is great for melting cheese onto burgers.

Can I use cleaning agents like Bar Keeper's Friend on the pan without damaging it or voiding the warranty?

Asked by: grill
Yes, absolutely. Bar Keepers Friend is a great, non-abrasive product that will work well on stubborn, stuck-on food. For tough stains, you can also boil some water in the piece and add some baking soda. This works very well and is something most people have on hand. For normal day-to-day use, hot water and dish soap should take care of most of the cleaning.
