Additional Information
This product may have minor visual imperfections, though this will not affect the product's performance. This may include discoloration, blemishes, or chips that have been enameled over.
For centuries, cooks have taken advantage of the natural heat retention and redistribution properties of cast iron. Staub builds on this tradition with our enameled cast iron cookware. Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising, and roasting. Colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F. Chip resistant and dishwasher safe. Made in France.
  • Juicy and tender cooking result thanks to the lid
  • The matt black inner enamelling is ideal for particularly crisp searing and is especially durable
  • Suitable for all types of hobs, incl. induction, can also be used in the oven/grill

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s perfect I was worried about feature and weight. But it’s no way. Meat is silky and soft . I think this is good for 4~5 persons.

Can you tell me the measurements in inches for the 5-1/2 and 7 qt Cocottes, both interior and with handles? Which is best size for roasting chicken and beef/pork roasts? Would the large accommodate a turkey? Thank you in advance.

Asked by: Rocky Mountain
The dimensions for the 5.75-qt (coq au vin) cocotte are 14.8" wide with handles X 12.2" diameter X 8" tall, and the 7-qt oval cocotte is 15.7" X 12.9" X 6.8". Certainly, either one of these would be great for roasting a chicken or a large cut of beef or pork. Either of these could also accommodate a small turkey, though, if that's primarily what you want the cookware for, you may consider the 8.5-qt oval cocotte or one of our 15" X 10" roasting pans.

can you tell me a little more about the imperfections on this Oval Cocotte?

Asked by: MTKrauss
Every product with visual imperfections is unique, so we can't say exactly what the imperfection may be on your particular item. However, we can assure you that these items have been fully tested for use and are warrantied against manufacturing defects just as a full-priced item is.
