What is the best way to clean this pan?

Asked by: mds1
We recommend following the below use instructions when cleaning your Staub grill. You can also try Bar Keepers Friend. It strong enough to remove tough food stains but gentle enough for your cast iron products. *Allow pan to cool before washing. *Dishwasher safe. *Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking your pot for a few minutes in hot, soapy water. *Completely dry pan before storing. *Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads, harsh detergents, bleach or abrasive cleaners.

Is there 2 kind of Cast Iron Staub Grill Pan - American and ordinary cast iron Grill pan ?? Sometimes it is expressly mentioned American and other time not mentioned at all. Heard that the ordinary type makes better steak marks. Thank you.

Asked by: JoanneD
This particular product has been referred to as an "American Grill" by other online sources, but there is no difference between Square Grill Pans. We also offer a Staub Double Handle Grill Pan, Round Steam Grill, and Pure Grill for different styles/preferences, available in a variety of sizes and colors, here:

I have an older 28cm cast iron grill pan and I want to season it. However, it does not have a cast iron handle - it is black and more like very hard ceramic or plastic. Is there a way to remove the handle or can it be put into the oven?

Asked by: Maryanne
Our pans do not need to be seasoned. They have an enamel coating that protects the iron, there is no raw cast iron. Attempting to season it may damage the enamel. Our Black Matte enamel can resemble raw cast iron, it is specifically formulated to have a slightly rough surface, though it is important to note that this is enamel, not raw iron.
