It's an excellent plate serving your soup bowl preventing from spilling soup or sauces on your table cloth and place matt, a fitted plate for soup bowl offers stability and safety when serving. It is indeed not just a soup bowl plate, but I also like to use them for smaller meals, and an appetizer plate. I love that this plate is safe to put in the fridge, freezer, microwave, and oven safe. Maintenance is super easy with Staub ceramic scratch-resistant characteristic, plus dishwasher safe so cleaning is a breeze! Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this size plate/bowl for a dinner plate, it's a perfect size to hold pasta, stews, rice dishes and so on. Very pretty light ash color. Boussole means compass in French which is a nod to the debossed pattern on the rims of every piece. Durable stoneware made in Portugal that is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. Scratch resistant for stacking without damage to the surface of the dishes.
