Great quality!

Does this lid fit the Mattone Griddle?
Yes, this lid will work with the 12" Chicken al Mattone Griddle.

Will this lid fit the Motion 12 inch fry pan ?
While the size is correct, this lid is manufactured to fit our Staub line of cast iron cookware. The rim of the Motion is different from the Staub and therefore you may not have the tight fit that you may be looking for.

I find that hot oils from cooking find their way into the joints between the glass and steel rim/knob. After vigorous hand-washing the oils still seep out overnight leaving a mess. Can this regularly be placed in the dishwasher without degradation?
Yes, this item is dishwasher-safe, though we recommend hand washing as harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergents and high heat can contribute to premature wear and tear on our products.
