Additional Information
Chef Morimoto's trademark cuisine combines the best of Japanese and Western techniques. This signature style extends to his knife design. MIYABI Fusion Morimoto Edition fuses Western-inspired ergonomics with authentic Japanese blade styles and super steel. The MIYABI Fusion blade embodies Japanese tradition, with its 9.5 to 12 degree, hand-honed Honzabuke edge. The exceptionally sharp, thin blade allows for the precision cuts synonymous with Japanese cuisine. The VG10, super steel blade is protected by a stunning 64-layer flower Damascus pattern and complemented by an easy-to-care-for POM handle. Miyabi Fusion Morimoto Edition 7-inch Hollow Edge Rocking Santoku Knife is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful knife I bought this for my son who went to culinary school and is now doing his externship at one of Morimoto's restaurants. He LOVES it! My only complaint is that it does not come w/a sheath and it's SUPER sharp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Zwilling Employee Miyabi Red Morimoto edition is a blend of eastern and western styles of cutlery. The appearance, edge angle and blade profile provide the look and efficiency of Eastern cutlery. The ambidextrous 3 rivet handle and the forgiving steel bring the Western advantage. The steel can be easily honed to sharpness and is very nick and chip resistant, literally bending before breaking if it runs into something too hard.

Do the knives come in a case or special box?

Asked by: amateurchef
This knife (as do most of our knives) comes in a retail box, just as if it were purchased at a store.

Hi. Just a quick question. Besides on your site, I see these knives offered for sale on the Internet. Do you know of any knock-offs of this knife? (I’m the same guy who wonders what 600D stands for.) Thanks in advance for your answer. Chuck

Asked by: CW Fusion
We are unaware of any counterfeit products at the moment, but please feel free to contact our customer service department to verify whether a retailer is authorized or not. 600D refers to the type of steel used in this series.
