Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic 8-inch chef's for a song! The hardest working tool in the kitchen is your knife; and in a Western style kitchen you can never go wrong with a chef's knife. It suits most cooks and cooking styles. Cuts both produce and proteins with ease and precision. The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I bought this set of knifes and this one knife continues to get staining on it. Have already replaced it once under warranty and it is doing it again. Wash and dry by hand and still stains. We still dont even use the knifes all the time still use my $29.95 Walmart set most of the time and no staining. Funny thing it is only one knife that does it, I think they have a bad batch of knifes steel or treatment on metal. They warranty the knife once and of coarse they said it is something we are doing.

This knife is really comfortable to use thanks to the little curve at the end of the knife, the weight balance is very balanced and it feels hefty and well made while using it, not slippery at all while cutting wet ingredients either. Out of the box the sharpness is pretty good! I haven’t need to re-sharpen my knife after a whole day of cooking, which by my standards make this a winner, my only gripe is that it doesn’t include a knife guard for easy storage, but that’s somewhat expected given the price. All in all, I will be using this as my daily cooking knife.

This brand also has a Lifetime Warranty, which means this Knife will last you a Lifetime! I had a great user experience using this Knife, and will recommend this exact one to anyone looking for a great Kitchen Knife. Slices through meat, veggies & fruit like butter and has a balanced, comfortable grip. My local Ace Hardware offers knife sharpening for $6 so with proper care & maintenance, this will last for many, many years. Highly recommend this knife for anyone looking for a low cost, high quality chef knife!

The tang goes all the way down the handle, which is the sign of a good quality knife, and the price is very reasonable. Use this almost every day and can definitely see a difference in my knife cuts. Much more even and precise, which makes everything look better and cook more evenly. Great purchase!
