Nice Santoku
A good Santoku knife, great for chopping fruits, veggies, and meats. A great starter knife for newbies, such as young aspiring chefs, the santoku knife is a nice alternative large blade to use if you don’t want to keep using a Chef or if you like to chop your food rather than slice. The indentions on the blade also help with releasing food of the knife, a great aesthetic to the knife. Nice handles on the knife, contours nicely to the high carbon German stainless steel blade. The German stainless steel won’t be prone to rusting or tarnishing, a great steel to use if you’re cutting up acidic or starchy foods.

The best chopping knife
Santoku knives are the best bet for vegetable-centric cooking, IMHO. Actually, I use it for vegetables, meats everything. The width and length are perfect for cutting large potatoes and small strawberries. The hollow grooves on the side reduce friction so food falls away. Plus this knife is lightweight without compromising blade sharpness. Maintained properly, it will last many years. Extremely good value.
The Solution line of knives is a good step up to quality stamped steel cutlery. The knives are made from high quality German steel that will not stain or rust or pit. They are made - from the tip of the blade to the heel of the handle - from a single piece of steel providing terrific stability. It feels good in the hand and does the work efficiently.

Solution knives are a great value priced line of knives that are perfect for a starter kitchen. Stamped from a single sheet of high quality stainless steel they are light weight and corrosion resistant. A full tang of steel running through the handle makes them stable and sturdy. I like the way the handle is high on the bolster because it provides a comfortable area for my pinch grip. The Santoku knife is perfect for chopping and the seven inch gives a nice reach.

So far so good
The price was right at $17.99 for a 'single icon' Henckels knife. That being said, I firmly believe you get what you pay for and this version is obviously not the same quality as the "2 icon" Zwilling branded version costing 3 times as much. But I knew this when I saw it in the store and took a chance since it will be used only for myself a few times a week. So far so good but only time will tell if it will hold its edge as well as the actual Zwilling.

Good Value
The Solution knife line is an exceptional value and very good quality. It has the same strong three rivet handle design as the knives made in Germany. Its fine edge blade is made from a high quality steel that will hold its edge nicely, is light and flexible.
The Santoku is the chopping machine with is super sharp blade and straight edge. Chop through an onion with ease.

Zwilling does a great job of competing in the value cutlery market. The Henckels International knife lines are always a cut above the competition.This full sized santoku knife has a sharp edge with hollows for ease of food release, ergonomic handle for ease of handling, is light weight and well balanced. Good knife for the value.

Great value for a much used knife in your kitchen arsenal. The santoku is a versatile blade profile which can be used on meat, poultry or vegetables. The hollowed out sections on the blade, create air pocket so that food releases off of the blade as you are slicing, dicing or chopping. Great to add to your collection

This 7 inch hollow edge santoku knife is a very lightweight, balanced knife due to the stamped construction and full tang. This knife is wonderful for slicing, dicing, chopping all sorts of fruits, veggies, and meats. The handle provides a great grip and the blade is very sharp.
