Rust - after two months!
I purchased this item last December. However, one of the knives is now developing rust near the blade's edge. I understand that stainless steel does rust at some point when the chromium oxide gets removed but for the rust to develop this early in knives in regular household use seems irregular. I mean it has been barely two months!
I have attached pictures of the product. All the other knives are fine but, I suspect, not for long.
This is not our first Henckels product. When one of the knives in a set develops an issue - chips, bent, etc. - she replaces the entire set. The rust developing less than two months after purchase is a first for us. And we have had 4 sets in the last 27 years.
I hope you can help.

Butcher Knife Block Set
I love that this set has a variety of different types of knives. I will use these daily in my kitchen! So many people have excitedly shared what great quality this brand is. So far I love how easily I am able to slice meats with ease. Knives I previously owned l have to resharpen after every use. Therefore, I look forward to not having to do this with this set. I love the instruction booklet included because it specifically states how to care for the knives, maintain the knife's edge, and very precise instructions and visuals on how to sharpen the knives. I like the lifetime warranty and safety information as well. I am very excited about this product!

Well rounded knife set
Get started with all the essential knives needed to serve an elegant dinner to guests. The only one missing is a quality bread knife--but you can make it work with the 5-inch serrated utility knife.
Henckels International is known for making quality knives--albiet sometimes extravagantly priced. This particular set might be described as the budget model. However, I have a 10 year old 8 inch chef's knife, that was also a budget model. It still serves me well.
These may not be knives for a michelin star rated kitchen. But they are high quality knives for the rest of us.
Think twice and then purchase this set.

No frills great purchase
This set includes everything that is necessary for preparation. Between the 8 inch chefs knife and 4 inch paring knife a lot can be done. The serated utility knife is nice for bread and others tasks. The steak knives are fantastic. This set is a fantastic buy for the price point, great edge on the blades right out of the box, they feel great in your hand, and it includes a very nice looking storage block for your countertop. If you are a fan of cooking and want a well crafted knife set but can't justify spending upwards of 1000 dollars on a set for home use, this is a great option. Im happy with this set.

Best knives I've owned!
I bought these knives to replace an embarrassingly cheap old set I had once I cut my thumb trying to use them. Not wanting to make the same mistake again, I did research and Henckels kept coming up at the top of many lists. As a result I felt comfortable buying these. When they arrived I was blown away. The knives and the block look amazing, so classy and sturdy. The knives are amazing, cutting and slicing ingredients has never been easier. I made a few purchases around the time that I got these and while some other items were disappointments, I can confidently say this knife set was among my best purchases in a while. I can tell this is a quality product and I couldn't be happier.

Very good set for the price
Reasonably priced, fabulous knives that are very comfortable to use, very sharp, work really well. Good variety of pieces. Only two complaints and they are minor, and have to do with the scissors. The scissors don't have a thumb hole, rather they have two equally shaped holes, so you have to look to see which way to hold them. Also, where the scissors sit in the holder, they lean down very close to the steak knives below them, almost blocking access. Would be better if the scissors were located on the side of the block. Other than those two minor issues, these are great knives and a great value.

Ever since I was a teenager I have wanted a Henckels knife set ! I finally bought this one because it’s such a great price ! The knives are good weight and are very sharp and makes precise cuts. I really like the look and the assortment of knives and knife as well as the overall design of the knives. My only criticism is that (to me) the shear handles are not as nice as the rest of the set, but they still feel nice. That being said, I’m looking forward to getting plenty of use from my new knife set !

quality complete set
I am very happy with this set. The stainless steel blades are super sharp and very easy to maintain. The handles are very comfortable to hold. This set takes care of all my cutting needs. The paring knife is perfect for peeling and shaping in hand. The small serrated knife and bread knife are amazing for breads, tomatoes, citrus and anything else with a tougher exterior and soft inside. The santoku is perfect for my vegetable prep with its slim profile. I use the utility knife for slicing my cooked meats and the chef's knife handles all the large jobs. The scissors are sharp and comfortable. I love that it also comes with enough steak knives for entertaining so I can have a nice matching set on the table.

Is the paring knife 3” or 4”? It’s listed as 3”, but the photo shows a 4”.
