J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio 5.5-inch Boning Knife is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good handle blade ratio in this knife. I like to have maximum control over a boning knife for precise cutting. This Forged Premio is handsome line of knives. They are forged from German steel and made to very exacting standards. The fine-edge high-quality stainless steel blades can take and hold an edge ensuring years and years of enjoyable use. Hone them regularly. The sculpted handle fits most hands. The full tang blade runs through the integrated bolster and triple riveted handle for maximum stability and durability. Dishwasher safe, but I always hand wash my knives. I like them to look new and dishwasher detergents are very hard on knives.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bigger and perhaps heavier than most boning knives This was purchased for someone else who is a home economist with a master's degree. The price was good but the handle is on the large side. A closer look at the photograph of this knife might reveal that it has a larger handle than most boning knives, but then again it might not. If you want a regular weight boning knife with a normal sized handle, then pay the extra money and get the pro or professional boning knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boning knife A great forged knife at a reasonable price point. It cuts so cleanly and with it’s thin profile you can really get a nice slice, whether it’s removing meat from a bone, or skin from fruit or fish, it’s a knife that can be really handy to have in the kitchen when you need it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I prefer this size for boning chickens and other meats. It fits snuggly in my hand and it gives me more control for percise cutting away from the bones. The German steel is a little flexible so bending around joints is not a problem. Great value for a much needed knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good value It's forged from high carbon German steel so you know it's going to be sharp and hold its edge really well. The fine edge blade is flexible and is perfect for chicken. The handle has a nice round curve with three rivets which makes it very comfortable and durable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a good value priced boning knife because it is forged so it feels sturdy and secure while using it to remove skin and bones from fish and meat. The handle is a little larger than some knives so you can get a nice hold of it in the palm of your hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cutlery value! These knives completed a set and are perfect in every way. I have wanted quality cutlery for cooking for some time, but couldn’t quite justify the cost of a professional set. These are an excellent value for my budget and provided the quality I wanted.
