This is a beautiful forged knife block set. Forging improves a knife's weight as well as giving it better edge retention (will stay sharp longer). It has great weight and balance and the curved handle is very comfortable. When knives are replaced in the block, the edges are reset, guaranteeing a sharp knife every time.
With these knives, you can chop vegetables, peel and pare, and the serrated utility is designed to cut through anything hard on the outside and soft on the inside, such as a tomato, orange or a roll.

This nice set of knives is an absolutely fantastic value! It has all of the essential knives you need with the advantage of custom, self-sharpening slots. You'll never have to worry about these knives going dull! These handles are also extremely comfortable and nice to work with while prepping meals. The forged steel blades are super durable too and I like that each knife has its own assigned slot for sharpening. Plus, you get six, quality matching steak knives to truly complete the Elan collection.

Nice set
A nice and essential block set. It has a good mix of large and small blade shapes. I like the color of the block against the color of the knives, looks really nice on the counter top. The best part is I don’t have to sharpen these knives with this block. Knives feel nice in hand and have a nice edge on the blade.

Great Quality for the Price
These knives come very well packaged and sharp straight out of the box. How long they stay this way is yet to be seen. The sharpening stones in the block need to be kept in mind, as to cover the entire blade when pulling a knife out of the block they have to be angled a certain way.
