J.A. Henckels International CLASSIC 8-inch Chef's Knife is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great small chef This is a great knife if you still want a big blade but not too big. The Classic is a really solid knife, with the German stainless steel it is durable and retains its sharpness after many uses. The handle is really nice on it, and I like that it has a full bolster to give me extra security for my fingers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 6" is the answer The 6" chef has been a great size for my kids as they venture into cooking. It's not as large in their hands as the 8" chef or as intimidating. This one knife allows them to do almost anything. Good quality, a knife they will eventually move with them when they have their own kitchens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There is nothing to dislike about this Classic 6" knife! This knife is everything you want in such a frequently used tool in the kitchen. Though it lacks the curved bolster of the Zwilling Pro knife line, the Classic 6" chef features all of the amazing other properties at a lower price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Chef Knife This is a great knife that has incredible weight and balance and is made of German steel. Day to day use has resulted in an edge that is staying sharp. It meets or exceeds any task I throw at it in my kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this knife! It has German steel and is made in Spain, so has all the "good stuff" that premium knives are made of, at a fraction of the cost. If I could only get one chef knife, this would be it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Starter Knife! This is a great starter chef knife for someone who wants a great knife without having to pay for the higher end ones. The forged blade feels strong and cuts through smoothly. I really enjoy the smooth handles that make this knife feel more high end than its price tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great Chef's knife! This is a really great and well made German knife, a really durable knife and is a great starter knife that has a lot of great features that you would find with some of the more premium knife collections. Cuts through food with ease and looks great too.
