When space is the challenge
This is a perfect answer. It has the 3 basic knives that can prepare just about any daily meal.
The good news: if this is the knife that appeals to you and the price suits you, then you just nailed it. The Definition line of Henckels International is a well-constructed collection of knives. Each knife is made from high quality stainless steel. One piece of this steel runs from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle for sturdiness and stability. The handle is arched to fit tightly into your palm, and is sculpted so your fingers in optimal position.
These are excellent knives for every day use. Hone them regularly and sharpen them once a year. I hand wash all my knives so they look brand new, but they are dishwasher safe.

great set for small spaces
I have a small apartment so this set is great for me. Not many small sets come with a block. This one sits nicely on my counter without taking up much room. The three knives take care of most jobs. The Chefs knife is for most of my larger prep. The serrated utility for anything with a tougher outside and delicate inside like tomatoes or citrus. I use the pairing knife for anything else small. The blades are very sharp and stay that way for a long time. A great value and space saver.

Just what you need to start a kitchen
I love this mini kitchen block because it's the perfect size for a small starter kitchen and it includes the three knives you need the most for all your cooking tasks. Every kitchen needs a chef's knife and a paring knife and the third piece in this block is the serrated utility which covers you for bread, sandwiches, citrus, tomatoes and all those other times you need serration instead of fine edge. Stamped from high quality steel these knives are sharp and corrosion resistant.

Young cook should have!
This studio block with 3pc. knife is a great start set for a college students exploring cooking on their own. This set has " Chef, 5" serrated utility knife and 4" paring knife. These are all primary essential for young cook from cutting small fruits to vegetables and to a larger food to cut. Block set is slim and doesn't take big space on counter top. One great thing is, knives are dishwasher safe.

Great for small spaces
I have a very small kitchen, so I was looking for a small knife block so that it could be out on my counter for easy access while I'm cooking. I have found that this set is everything that I need. The 5" serrated knife is a great addition for cutting bread and tomatoes. The handles on the Definition line of knives is very comfortable.

I live in the city and have no room
This is the best thing since sliced bread. I don't have any counter space, and even if I had drawer space, i don't like to keep my knives that way. these stay safe and don't take up too much room... just love the choices too! great set and ive told several friends about it already! what a great price!

Retired to a mobile home where space is tight, but still wanted the feel of my old large kitchen. This 3 knife block set is adorable. Still able to keep my knives on the countertop, without taking a ton of space. Nice and sharp, everything I need to prepare for my husband and myself.

Three essential knives
Three essential knives in a compact block; perfect for a condo or apartment. The fine edge blade on the parer and chef knives will slice nicely through apples, onions or larger fruits and vegetables. The serrated utility will handle anything hard on the outside and soft on the inside.
