Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife is jealous! We purchased this along with a frying pan and the 2qt saucepan as gifts for our sons recent wedding. When we opened them to sneak a peek, my wife said “wow, these are nicer than our stuff.” We have been using the AC copper core for a little over 10 years, and it’s good stuff, but I have to agree with my wife, the Demeyere is nicer. I will end up surprising her with some Demeyere products here in the near future and start handing the AC copper core down to my daughter. Trust me.... you won’t be disappointed! Mike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I never want to go back to a regular sauce pan The curved edges of this pan makes a smooth sauce everytime because there isn't any surface that can't be reached with a spatula or spoon. Demeyere pans are a joy to cook with and the best of the best. Each size vessel is manufactured for optimal performance. Sauce pans and other straight sided pots are heavier on the bottom than the sides for maximum heat retention within. Fry pans and other conical pots, such as this saucier, have thicker bottoms and substantial sides for even cooking throughout the entire vessel. Stay cool handles, beautiful finish and no rivets only adds to the value of these pots making them an essential addition to your kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this pan and use it for everything. Demeyere Atlantis is made with a 7-Ply construction (layers), including a copper layer. It has excellent heat conduction and retention. Demeyere also uses what’s called flat base technology so pan won't ever warp when heated, even at high heats. Look inside the pan, what is it missing? Rivets, there are no rivets inside this pan so clean up is a dream. The pan also has a pouring edge for no-mess cooking. It can be used on all cooking surfaces including induction, oven and broiler safe up to 500F. Wait, it’s also dishwasher safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A cook's pan. Perfect for sauces and pastry making This is one of my favorite shapes. A saucier is invaluable if you make sauces and gravy, or if you make pastries. The conical shape is ideal for gentle reduction in moisture/volume and condensing flavors. Atlantis sauciers are awesome to work with because if you are like me, and can get distracted, it is so forgiving. I don't burn my pastry creams and caramels. I scald milk, instead of overflow it. Well worth the investment. Demeyere Atlantis. I love this stuff! It has all the best parts of high-end (copper) cookware and it’s easy to clean! In addition to being technically sound (it cooks well; heats evenly and is responsive to temperature changes), it has bonuses that help to justify the price. No rivets - no cleaning around those annoying little screw heads. Comfortable stay-cool handles – easy to grip and lift. Looks good – shiny exterior stays that way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever. This is a big pot and very versatile. Some have said it needs a helper handle but I don't think so. Use two hands! I'm partial to Demeyere Atlantis. I have this one, a regular pan, the stock pot with pasta colander and a frying pan. They are all I use. They heat fast, evenly and clean up lickety split. I have a few copper pots and several All Clads - all awesome, but these shine above. If I had my own restaurant I would use these for most dishes. Last remark needs to be said: the lids... They seem flimsy, but a lid simply needs to seal, not be bullet proof. You will find the lids that come with these pots and pans are more than adequate to cover and have the added benefit of being light. I have six Demeyere Atlantis products now and they are the only cookware I will buy from now on. But I wish they made a paella pan. LOL. I know. Not their culture! Buy it! You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love every Demeyere pot/pan that I own and this one is no exception. The construction is far superior to anything else on the market. The 7-ply with a thick aluminum core, heats quickly and distributes the heat evenly which means your sauces come out just the way you want, no hot spots to burn the bottom. I use this pan endlessly for sauces, and risottos, which come out beautifully every time. This line has so many extras that are normally not addressed. Pouring rims, stay cool handels and no rivets are all much appreciated.

Purchased what I believe is the Demeyere Atlantis 3.5qt SS Saucier Item 25924-41524. Box calls it a Conic Saute Pan, REF 25924+41524. Are they the same item, and why is the lid too small? There's 1/4" gap when lid is pushed to one side.

Asked by: JustMyTwoCents
"Saucier" and "Conic Saute Pan" are different terms that we have used for this same item. As you can see, the item number (REF) is the same as well. The lids on our sauciers do not fit as securely, because we did not make lids specifically for these pans. We provide the closest-fit lids that were initially made for other products in the line. The reason for this is that the general uses for the saucier- to saute, sear, or fry- do not require a tight-fitting lid, or, in many cases, a lid at all.

Why don't you answer the two questions above so we can all make informed buying decisions?.    How about including dimensions in the description?

Asked by: Consumerista
The dimensions for this product are 9.4" (top diameter) X 7.1" (base diameter) X 3.6" (tall).

Is there any copper in this saucier? I see the core is aluminum, but am not familiar with the components of the TriplInduc base.

Asked by: rp17
No, this product does not contain any copper. Our Demeyere straight-sided cookware does contain copper in the base. You can see more information about our tech here: https://www.zwillingonline.com/demeyeretech.html
