Description

Proudly made in Italy, Ballarini specializes in premium cookware inspired by the rich tradition of Italian cuisine. Discover why chefs love carbon steel with the Ballarini Professionale 3000 Series.Carbon steel is less brittle than cast iron, so these pans are thin and lightweight while maintaining excellent durability. Unlike raw cast iron, which takes time to season, carbon steel's smooth surface naturally develops nonstick qualities after repeated use with oil. Its thick construction provides unparalleled heat conduction and retention. When these pans get hot, they stay hot, guaranteeing perfect searing and browning. Sauteing is a cinch thanks to angled handles and sloped side walls that prevent food from spilling. Thanks to carbon steel's ability to withstand high temperatures, easily move these pans from stovetop - to oven - to table. Go ahead –experience how good Italy's top-selling brand cooks.
  • Durable, thick construction
  • Boasts unparalleled heat retention for perfect browning and frying; achieve the same results as cast iron with this lightweight option

Ballarini Professionale Series 3000 9.5-inch Carbon Steel Fry Pan is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent High quality carbon steel pan. Pan seasoned up perfectly and is virtually non-stick. Cooks eggs better than any non-stick pan I have ever had. Heats up quickly and sears steaks as good or better than my cast iron. I really dig this pan. It has a cool factor about it that makes you feel like a chef. I'm not a professional chef but I highly recommend adding one of these to your cooking arsenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old World Cooking If you've never cooked with carbon steel, now is the time. It's much like cast iron - it can take the heat, but it's lighter and easier to manage. Crispy potatoes in duck fat is a family favorite. Pan seared steaks, fish are fabulous. This pan will season over time developing a black patina, that eventually has non-stick properties. Historically, that is when carbon steel pans become valuable. It can easily become and heirloom that is passed down to generations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally feel like a professional Not only does this pan look like the chefs use in a professional kitchen it also performs that way. Carbon Steel pans are lighter and thinner than cast iron but perform very much the same way. Because they are thinner they respond faster to temperature changes making them ideal for charring and searing meat or making a flash stir fry. They are oven safe up to 600 degrees so no worries when you throw it under the broiler to finish off your masterpiece!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carbon pans make excellent cooking vessels and this one from Italy will not disappoint. Restaurants use carbon pans because they heat faster, can tolerate high constant heat and simply last longer than stainless steel pans. Over time this pan will create a coating that is similar to non-stick surfaces. Light weight with an extra long handle this pan will make you feel like a pro!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a few carbon steel pans and do love them. They cook like a cast iron pan but are infinitely lighter in comparison. They heat up quickly and retain that heat for great pan searing and frying. They will last for a very long time if cared for properly. Great for searing that crust on steaks and hamburgers and just about anything else that needs a good sear or fry.
