Description

Create tasty slow-cooked casseroles and stews in this cherry-red mini cocotte from the La Cocotte series. Thanks to its size, this cocotte is perfect for making individual portions – only 10 cm in diameter and holding 0.25 litres. However, this little roasting pan is equally suitable for reducing sauces when hosting larger dinners. This is when the positive qualities of the cocotte's cast iron body come into their own. Cast iron retains heat for longer, releasing it slowly and evenly a useful property when reducing sauces, as your sauces will stay hot for longer in the cocotte. The excellent slow-cooking properties of cast iron are further complemented by the enamel coating on the inside of the roasting pan. The enamel coating also brings out the taste of the food itself – an effect that increases the more often you use the cocotte. Cast iron also makes the roasting pan extremely durable and easy to clean – and it is also suitable for use on all kinds of cooker.
