Black Tea with Orange This recipe can be varied in many ways. Can be enjoyed hot on cold winter days, as iced tea on warm summer days, or as a cocktail with gin on balmy party nights.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 untreated orange
  • 1 sprig of mint
  • 1 tbsp. (approx. 10 g) loose black tea (e.g. Orange Broken Pekoe)
  • 30 g sugar
  • 600 ml water

Preparation

  1. Weigh and measure all the ingredients, prepare them and place them ready.
  2. Wash the orange in hot water, halve it and slice it. Wash the mint and shake dry. Add the tea, sugar and mint to a French press.
  3. Heat the water in the kettle to 100°C.
  4. Pour the hot water over the ingredients in the French press. Allow to steep for around 10 minutes before plunging the sieve.
  5. Enjoy immediately or allow to cool, place somewhere cold and enjoy with ice cubes as iced team.

Tip

Add a little gin to turn Black Tea with Orange into a delicious cocktail.
