It’s no wonder, considering that the salt mill houses a high-quality ceramic grinder, made by ZWILLING. The ceramic is particularly hard, non-wearing and grinds spices to fully release their flavours. You decide how coarse or fine you want spices, by setting the grind size as you wish. Providing the necessary power is the salt mill's high-performance motor. This is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Thanks to its large charge it only needs to be plugged in again after frequent grinding. And because there are no batteries to change, you save money and protect the environment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product sucks Got 2 of these for Christmas, followed instructions and charged them up. Worked okay for 1 day but the next day one was completely dead. Emailed Zwilling explaining the issue saying one works and the other doesn’t hold a charge. Asking if we could send it in for a replacement. They told me we couldn’t make an informed decision and would need to bring it to the nearest store for an assessment. Nearest store is 50 minutes away. It was purchased online. Shouldn’t be too hard form them to have us just send it in for a replacement like a normal company especially when they can see it was just purchased. My informed decision would be buy a product on Amazon for cheaper

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Quality for Salt one I was initially excited about the Electric Salt and Pepper Mill like other Zwiling tools (I known as Zwiling lover between my friends) and I encouraged several friends to bought it. The first Salt mill that I bought online stopped working after just a few months of regular use due to plastic abrasion caused by the salt. I exchanged it in-store, hoping it was an isolated issue. Even though I only used it sparingly, primarily during parties (less than 10 times in total), the second Salt mill has already failed. It's frustrating to encounter such poor quality and lack of durability, especially considering the price and my initial positive expectations. I would strongly advise potential buyers to don't buy it for salt, for 3 of my friends had same problem for salt one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible and very over priced I bought a pair for salt and pepper. The white one which I was using for salt, stopped working in less than a year. Just wouldn't turn and grind anymore. Didn't keep my receipt as I was going solely on faith in the Zwilling name so unable to return. The black one is still going, but it is used less of course. From the beginning they both didn't grind well. There was no fine grind and I turned that little dial on the bottom all the way to the fine option. Luckily, I kept my 12$ electric grinder from Canadian Tire. That one works perfectly and grinds exceptionally fine. I can't say I am surprised. NOTHING is made well anymore. Quality doesn't exist anymore, just profit. Even Zwilling has followed suit. Keep ALL receipts and fight hard because there is a good chance that it will break.

Nice touch adding the LED light to illuminate your plate when grinding pepper at the dinner table, Wish Zwilling included a companion salt container so that the grinder could be interchangeable (buying two of these seems like overkill). Also: the locking mechanism could benefit from being a little less tight.
