Rated 1 out of 5 by from Their warranty is a lie I have the Damascus set ..They say they are forged for exceptional strength… I was cutting an onion with the utility knife and the tip snapped off. Three days after that happened I was hand washing the Santoku knife and discovered a crack in the blade after speaking with customer service they had said I have two options to pay for shipping and handling myself or go to my nearest Henkle store where they would address my warranty concerns. After searching the area the closest one was a 45 minute drive away I went there and the gentleman told me he was quite certain that neither of them would be warranted as in the past two years they have scaled back what they honour. He told men that it would be a waste of time as generally now they only honor cracks in the handles . Obviously a crack in the blade is a defect in both material and workmanship… This set was $1400 and the blades were supposed to be folded steel 66 times over to create long lasting strength… I have only had them for approximately a year and a half. My previous set which I paid $200 for was a set of Cuisinarts and they are in the same condition as the day I pulled them out of the box… I was also told they could be evaluated at the store… And the gentleman at the store said that they had to be sent back to the factory to be examined for warranty… I’d like had mentioned above he said he was quite certain they would not be honored… And also the time would be approximately 12 weeks… I do not think I would ever recommend these knives or this company to anyone As their product is substandard… And they do not stand by their warranty … Especially for the amount that was paid you would think that they would have the fortitude and wherewithal to stand behind their product… For what it would cost them to replace my product I am certain if one other person does not buy it they will lose money

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great steel but beware We bought the Damascus set in December of 2021. Great knives with a great edge that holds the sharpness. The eight inch chef knife had the metal end of the handle break off. It was rusted where it was attached to the steel in the handle. I suspect all the knives have this flaw. Zwilling was more than happy to replace the knife at no charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handles do not last The blade portion of the knife is as advertised. The handles however are very poor. Daily use, with a daily wash, and in 18 short months the handles will be splitting and falling off. Note: they are not dishwasher safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Set of Blades Wonderful set of knives. Absolutely beautiful steel & wood. Proper care of the handles will go a long way towards any longevity concerns. So far, my set has held up for about 6 years with no signs of failure. It's just too bad something more appealing than plastic wasn't used for the scissor handles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great knives. Terrible handle This knife block looks great and the blade is fantastic. But the handles are made of wood. 3 of my handles split or broke roughly 1 year after purchase. BE ADVISED that the wood handles are not covered under warranty.
