INGREDIENTS

  • ½ orange
  • 3 Star anise
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 800ml Whole milk
  • 200g Bittersweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream (for serving)

    UTENSILS

    Peeler, paring knife, cheese cloth, kitchen twine, pot, cooking spoon, whisk

    HOW TO MAKE IT

    Step 1/3

    Use a vegetable peeler to peel 2 large pieces of zest from the orange. Use a paring knife to remove any white pith. Add orange zest, star anise, and cinnamon to a piece of cheesecloth and secure with kitchen twine.

    Step 2/3

    Add milk to a pot and bring to a simmer over medium low heat, stirring often. Add spices and let simmer for approx. 5 min. Remove from heat and let steep for approx. 20 min

    Step 3/3

    Remove spices and transfer milk back to medium low heat. Add chocolate chips and whisk until chocolate is melted and well combined. Serve immediately with whipped cream, if desired, and enjoy!
