Making cuticle nippers

Cuticle and nail scissors as well as cuticle and nail nippers are at the centre of the ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS manicure range. They are also the most complicated to manufacture. By way of example the making of cuticle nippers is shown below.

The manufacturing process distinguishes between lap joint nippers where the blade halves rest on top of each other in the joint area and box joint nippers where one blade half runs through the other in the joint area. The box joint nippers demand a high level of manufacturing precision. Their particular advantage: They are more robust and cut more precisely than lap joint nippers.
